Today we went to see the Panda Raising Center! There were babies, teenagers, and adults. They were so cute! We saw 28 Giant pandas and several red pandas.

I actually got right next to a panda and had my picture taken with him. Before I went into the enclosure I had to put on a pair of plastic boots and gloves. I had to do this to keep germs off the panda. Once I got in the enclosure I stood next to the panda and petted his back, it felt greasy and rough. I didn't expect it to be soft because they roll around in the dirt.

A panda is named Jingjing. That is also the name of a mascot for the Olympics.
