Today we went back to the street where all the wood carvings are.

Yesterday my mom saw a beautiful statue of Quan Yin. I had to agree with her, she was beautiful. We wanted to bring her home but we had problems. We had to get her on the planes. She would be too big for a carry-on, so we had to check her on. We also wanted her to be in perfect condition when we got home. Personally, I thought we were not going to buy her, that there would be no question about it, but noooo.

They thought about it all night and finally went back to the store where we saw Quan Yin. The people at the store told us that they will be able to pack her for us but it would take a few hours. So we went out shopping while they packed her. After a while we went back to the shop and found that she was ready. Dad, Mary, Gordon, Susan, and Mom all worked on wrapping her and padding her with styrofoam and tape. By this time I was Extremely Bored.

Finally we got her all bundled up, we got in the van and drove to Hangzhou. It is about a two hour drive from DongYang to Hangzhou. While I was in the van I played backgammon and cards with Mary and my mom. We arrived in Hangzhou about dinner time. Our hotel,The West Lake Hotel, is the same hotel that my mom and dad stayed in when they came here to adopt me. West Lake was right across the street from our hotel, within walking distance.
