Today we went to the Private Gardens. It was beautiful, with many Chinese native plants. There was a lake in the middle of the gardens.

Later we went to the Chinese herbal factory. It smelled weird in places especially in the shops. I got to use a foot wheel for grinding herbs. It was fun! 

While we were there I visited a Chinese doctor about my skin. She knew right where I had problems. She also knew that when I was itchy I was hot, she knew how the weather affects my skin. I was surprised that she knew about my symptoms. She gave us a prescription for a special herb that will cool my body, but did not have any suggestions for my eczema problem.

We also went shopping on a block filled with silk shops. Mary bought me a cream colored silk dress with pink flowers. Dad got mom a shirt and chose a little dress for Ying Ying, Susan's daughter.  Mary got her grandson a Kung Fu outfit.
